Zarco Cambio Dos- August 10
Family!!
We have finished our first week here in Zarco, Hermana Murset and I. She is a DOLL and I absolutely love her. I think she is the perfect companion for me right now and I have a lot of faith that we are going to be a successful team. She has a lot of characteristics and skills that I hope to develop and I really admire her. We have been able to identify strengths in both of us that work well together and its almost relaxing to teach with her. When we teach I feel like we are actually being instruments for the Spirit to speak. Not that that really depends in us but we try really hard and the Lord blesses us.
Shes has 10 months in the mission and so we both have been able to get some experiences and develop skills that will serve us well. I imagine I will learn a lot from her this next change. We are the sister training leaders for all the sisters here in Saltillo, like last change, but shes new and pretty nervous, so prayers would be appreciated. We have decided to do things differently on splits with the other sisters and I discussed them with President this morning and he agrees they will bring us more success in the mission and so I am excited about it :). I cant really take credit, it was the idea from the senior sister training leader in the north, but como quiera we are going to put it in practice here too!
A lot of our progressing investigadores are kind of at a hault right now for being out of town and well... the eternal investigadores that we had before are still eternal due to legal processes... but we are continuing on with faith! We have found a new lady named Alicia who is really interested in the church and will be having a family night with her with the familia Mora (the family that lives right next door to us and that loves us and we love them... they are the BEST) so yeah.
This morning I took care of my visa for the last time so I dont get kicked out of Mexico before December and then I had an interview with President Rodriguez. I dont necesarily want this published, but so ya´ll, my family know, he rewarded me this morning with an award called "Misionero Consegrado" with means "consecrated missionary". Its something I have been working for my whole mission, not for the recogniction, but to become consecrated, and he said that I have definitely accomplished it and that I deserve the reward. It basically is just private with him, but I also recieve a letter and pin. It was pleasing to be rewarded with such an honor. I hope to continue for the next 4 months as a consecrated missionary. That is my desire.
Well love you lots! I attached a picture of my new companion and then one of me making sure to drink all the filtered water .
Con mucho amor,
Hermana Roberts
