Birthday!!

Its my birthday!!!! I am officially legal in the United States! Whoo.... too bad Im not even there hahah who knows at what age I am legal here. 

Welllllll we changed out pday cause we are going to el museo de desierto here in Saltillo! I have already been before but my comp hasnt and we decided it would be a fun birthday activity. two other sisters are going to meet us there cause one of them completed years yesterday. Fun stuff! and then we will be having a family night with a member family and alicia (our investigador) and some of the converts we teach to have a little party I guess. I dont know anything about it, but Hna.mora is being kind of secretive so we will see hahah. 

We had some really great experiences this week, but the one I will share happened yesterday. We went to teach a fairly new investigador named Elizabeth whom we met when her member friend invited her over when she had us for lunch (good work, member!!). We taught her about our Heavenly Father and a lot about prayer the last time, and when we went to teach her yesterday, she had had a converting experience. She lives with just her teenage son, who decided to like run away or something... as soon as he left she was devestated and immediately thought about us, these two young sister missionaries, and started to pray. She told God that if He would return her son she would listen to us and join our church. She ended her prayer and he walked in the door.....!!! She doesnt know hardly anything about the church, but she said she knows it the right one, and she accepted to be baptized. She wants to learn everything we have to teach her. 

the Lord is preparing His children to recieve His gospel. What beautiful truths.

HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY!! (in Mexico.. clearly) Well what a week... it unfortunately was not very successful... haha but because I took a suprise trip to Saltillo in the middle of the week.... ALONE!!! We were studying one morning and I was getting all pumped to get out and start working and I was feeling good and we had great plans for the day when all of a sudden the mission office calls and told me I had to take care of stuff for my Visa and come to Saltillo.. in like 2 hours. So yeah, and they sent me alone. So this week I conquered the fear of traveling through Mexico as an American muchacha who is still learning spanish... alone. But hey, I did it, and nothing bad happened. And I even got to Saltillo and got a taxi and traveled through the city and made phone calls (in spanish thank you) and got things taken care of. BAM! Clearly they trust me or something because apparently that never happens (sending a sister without her companion... none the less a American ne...

Travelling Sister

I dont really know how to start my letters anymore cause I always say the same thing haha... entonces... Hola Family!! Mmm not too much to report. Just working and trying to stay awake in the lessons in this heat. Haha mostly exaggerating but after lunch in this heat... listening to someone tell you a really long story... it gets hard, ya know? I only work about half the time in my own area now. We go on splits twice a week and the are each for about a day and a half so it gets kind of crazy sometimes. I have been leaving to work in the other sister´s area every time because I still dont know our own area well enough to direct it with someone how does know it at all, so I have basically been a traveling missionary. I love working with Hna. Walsh and we are a good team, just sad we are only together like half the time haha. But its been a good experience to get to know other sisters and try to help them improve and find what is keeping them from having more success.  A...

Rosi & Fransisco

Hello hello!! This week we saw our new investigators, Rosi and Fransisco  on Monday  night and challenged them to be baptized with a specific date. They.... turned it down... hahaha but only because its for like a week from now. They have to have 5 weeks in church before they can be baptized, but they already had a few in the states, so we went ahead and challenged them. They said they want to be baptized, but they want to learn more first and everything and 2 weeks didnt seem sufficient haha. I couldnt blame them. We didnt get to seem them again during the week (they are VERY busy for an elderly couple) and unfortunately they didnt make it to church  on Sunday  which was basically devestating, right? But we passed by in the evening to see why they didnt go, and they werent home. Their adult son greeted us and let us know that they suddenly had to take a trip to Monterrey and he was their caring for their house. So we´ll see whats up. But they are super cute....
