Sept 14
Hello hello!
Highlights of the week:
1) I was asked to translate at a health conference that was given. A doctor from the states came with his wife, how is a nurse, and she doesnt speak any spanish. She spoke to us sister missionaries and so I had to translate. First time translating for a large group and I could say it was a success! It was really really fun actually.
2)We had a zone goal this week of 100 new investigators and we fulfilled it! Hna.Murset and I fulfilled our part and found 9 of them. The zone got 110 by the end of the week.
3) I fulfilled the missionary stereotype this week and got bit by a dog. That little devil came out of no where, with no warning, and just bit me in the back of the achilles part of my foot. I wasnt evening doing anything, just walking along. No worries and no one call my mission office please, it was the first day I had worn boots in a month and I wasnt harmed.
4) The Mexico City temple was rededicated and we got to hear the dedication. Very cool experience! I attached a picture of my comp and I outside our stake center.
5) We attended a baptism of some other elders and a lady gave a take relating enduring to the end with potty training.......... we couldnt believe our ears and couldnt stop laughing about it.
6) I have this tendency to teach outloud in my sleep. Its something my comps have gotten used to but I will like straight up being teaching lessons, but last night my companion particpated with me. She was also asleep. We had a giggle fest at 2am when we both came to our senses. She was like "I was positive I was holding a hymn book!" Took us a while to get back to sleep and we laughed about it all morning. Talk about companion unity! Hahah
7) This is the last day of the transfer and news came in! Hna.Murset and I are staying here in Zarco, which we expected, but we got a little surprise. We have a new companion, Hna.Cano. We will be in a trio. Lucky sister, she will be having a baptism this next Saturday haha.
Welp. Thats the news folks! I have a question though... What kind of things do yall want from Mexico? I am planning on starting to get Christmas presents. There are lots of stuff, but some ideas or tshirts, mexican blouses or dresses, sarapes (Saltillo is known for these but there are kind of expensive), belts, keychains, mexican hoodie type thingys, plates, wallets, bags, etc.
LOVE YOU ALL
Hermana Roberts
The other picture is all of us sisters here in the city of Saltillo (not in the whole mission, although its like three fourths), which are the sisterse that Hna.Murset and I are "in charge" of. This was at that health conference. The lady on the far left is the american that I translated for.
