Fam Bam,

Alicia is doing great. She shows up at church on her own every week, with Lety of course, without us calling or passing by to remind her or anything. I think we need to help her understand the importance of scripture study a little more, but she already has that habit from beforehand and reads the Bible daily. I am pretty sure she is intergrating the Book of Mormon, but we probably could focus on that a little more. But she has a strong testimony of the church already so I am not too worried about her :). Its so true what you said though, there is that excitement when someone gets baptized, but there is still that constant stress of ensuring they form a firm testimony so that they become self sufficient in the gospel.

Right now we are teaching her son Cesar. I dont remember if I have mentioned him or not, but he is progressing well also. We have had some of the COOLEST experiences with him. He has already born his testimony about the Book of Mormon and basically the church. He has even said it in "I know that..." type of form and in the name of Christ. Pretty cool. If I dont get to writing it in my main letter today I will tell you in a couple of months.

Cheli has decided that she wants to be baptized, the problem is that her husband doesnt allow her to go to church. That has been the struggle. Shes super annoyed because she wants to go, but he doesnt even like her to leave the house in general. Pretty controling. We taught her about fasting and read her the story about Ester in the Bible and how her husband wouldnt allow her to speak to him either, but she had an important work to do so she and her people fasted that she would able to speak to him without punishment and convince him to save her people. We then fasted with her to have her husbands heart softened and allow her to go to church. Unfortunately she didnt arrive on Sunday. We passed by in the afternoon and her brother, who was there, told us she was visiting her aunt in another part of Saltillo. She and her husband are fighting and he left for probably a couple of months. So thats whats up with her right now...

I loved zone conference. President gave a repeat of what he taught us at our leadership training actually, but it was really good because it was some really deep points and it gave me time to reflect and then hear the training again. It was about faith and our level of conversion to Lord. It was really powerful and has helped me understand how faith is POWER. I have discovered that I have very little faith in that sense. Its hard work having enough faith to have what you desire come to pass simply because you have enough faith that it becomes power.I have been studying Heleman 10-11 because President read a scripture or two from it and really struck me. Especially verses 4-5 where it talks about Nefi having so much faith, and the fact that whatever he desires will be alined with the will of the Lord, that it will be done. In chapter 11 verse 5 it says "and so it was done, according to the words of Nefi". Anyways, hopefully one day I will get to that level of faith haha.

LOVE YOU ALL!
