Hello hello,

We had a good week this week! We weren´t having much success for the first half of the week and by Thursday we hadnt found a single new investigator. Last night we reported our numbers and reported 13 new investigators. We worked hard and are putting in practice some ideas we had in order to find those that are ready to listen. Of those 13 we hope that some progress and a few are baptized. :)

Cesar is doing so well and I really will just have to tell more of his story when I get home in order to tell it well, but he is accepting everything we teach him magnificantly. Last week we taught him about the Book of Mormon and he testified of it being true before he read a single page. He said he just knows this is true and began to read immediately. He fulfills all of his compromises and understands exceptionally what he reads. He has even inspired me to understand the Book of Mormon better. He has been amazed by, as we told him, that he would be able to find answers to his own questions just by reading in the Book of Mormon. 

When we visited him on Thursday he had a doubt. He has been praying every day and has felt at peace, but recently has been flouded by horrible images in his mind every time he has gone to pray. He said they are things no one ever wishes to imagine and he is confused as to why that would happen when he is doing what he knows is right. Without answering his question directly, we read in Joseph Smith History about Joseph Smith´s experience in the Sacred Grove. He was first enveloped in a feeling of destruction before he was then revealed what we know as the First Vision. We discussed it with Cesar and it made perfect sense to him. The lesson plan was actually for the fall of Adam and Eve, which we taught, but were also able to relate it to Satan believing he can frustrate God´s perfect plan, when in reality... its perfect... and it will not be frustrated. However, he will do alllll in his power to pull as many of God´s precious children from fulfilling their divine potential which can be accomplished through His perfect plan. We talked about home Satan tempts us, more often and with more force, when he knows we are getting closer to the truth and we just have to recognize that and not let him have power. Cesar was able to, not only find the answer to his doubt, but also strengthen his conviction to keep going. He said he never doubted because he knows he is doing what is right, he just keeps praying and asking with more faith during those times of trial that the images be taken away until he is lifted from the temptation and feels peace. The following Sunday he accompained us at church for the first time.

The work is going on. I am SO grateful to be a full time missionary, proclaiming these beautiful truths.
