Zone Conference

Familyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy,

I miss yall and I love you!

This week was good!! GET THIS. We went to Piedras Negras for Zone Conference and I was 2 minutes from the border!! If anyone knows where Eagle Pass is.. thats where I was. The closest I will ever be to home while I am on my mission. And I probably wont ever go there again because its really dangerous. The family we stayed over night with kept staring at us and wanted to take pictures with us because they were like "we have never seen sister missionaries before!!" It was really cute.

Zone Conference was so great and man I love our mission president. He is so inspirational and just brings the Spirit with him wherever he goes. We learned a lot about the Atonement and about autosufficiency. I wish I had the time to expound.

I still am afraid to tell yall much about the family we are teaching because I am convinced I jinx things.. but Juany, Jonathan, and Geronimo went to church for the 3rd time yesterday. They really are taking hold of the gospel and things are going really smoothly with them. Geronimo is going to get baptized on the 6th of December and is upset he has to wait so long... I cant remember if I said anything about him before, but he is so great. He bought a bag (more or less like the ones we carry as missionaries) for his Book of Mormon and for all his pamphlets. He takes notes in all the classes and is like "I need the hymn book and Doctrine and Covenants...". He is a great example to everyone. Juany and Jonathan both are going to get baptized too, but arent quite set on having a date. We are preparing them for the 6th also, but we arent pushing it too much because they truly just want to be ready. Jorge still listens to the lessons, but he is being a little stubborn with going to church or reading. But he drives is family to church and picks them up and everything. I love this familyyyyyy.

The boyfriend of Mere is finally divorced!!! We are working on getting them married so that she can get baptized on the 29th of this month!! She is so ready. This week we are going to work on getting things ready for the wedding that will take place no a friday, her baptism on saturday, and confirmation on sunday. We taught her about the temple this week and that was a really special experience.

Pedro, the doctor, is still taking the lessons. He works a lottttt, including on Sundays, so he hasnt come to church. BUT yesterday we were in Relief Society and someone asks us to come out becdause someone is looking for us. We walk out and practicaly yell, because there in the foyer is Pedro. He was like "Im late, but I came!". He told us he has recieved answers. We have yet to talk to him about it yet, but that looks like a good sign.

In the way of Sabinas, it has suddenly gotten VERY COLD. All of you who think Mexico doesnt get cold.. you are SO WRONG. It is freezing. Mom and Dad, I just bought some boots today. I pulled some money out of my bank account, and I probably will pull a little more out this week to get more prepared for the winter. But Mom dont worry, the members also help us out by giving us clothes and things. Lets just say the sister missionaries all turn into grandmas out here because our sense of style kind of flies out the window because we become much more practical.

Things are going well with mi hija. She is doing much better this week and I am feeling good about where things are going. Thank you for all your prayers and support!! I constantly ask my Heavenly Father why I am so blessed, because seriously, there are no words.

I am sending a christmas package home tomorrow! I went to send it today, but the post office was closed. I hope it gets there in time.

I LOVE YOU ALL SO MUCH!!

Con amor,
Hermana Roberts
