Back to Neuva Rosita
Alrightttttttttttt what a week,
We had splits with
the sister training leaders and I went to Nueva Rosita! It was really
weird to go back there after two months. It seems so small!! Haha I
think its like when you{re a kid and your house feels huge, but once
you{re older it feels small. Who knows, but it was pretty fun. Nice to
also talk with some of the members that I knew, but not I understand and
communicate with them MUCH better. Also, the sister that is that area
told me that Pedro (my convert) has gone to church every single sunday
and is recieving the priesthood this next week. Also, he found the birth
certificate of his wife and is starting her temple work!! He is pretty
excited about it. AND she told me that he has been asking about me this
past few weeks!! I wanted to cry I was so happy. I didnt get to visit
him, but good news none the less. He is so sweet.
Unfortunately
Angle{s parents have changed their minds about his baptism and are not
going to let him get baptized......... at least not until he is 18 so he
has a 2 year wait. I am praying that we can change their hearts, but
they dont even want to talk to us so its unlikely. Angel said he is
still coming to church and all the acitivities and everything though,
hes still golden. Pretty bummed though.
Well I
am afraid to talk about my favorite family because I feel like I jinx
EVERYTHING, but just so everyone knows, my favorite family is
progressing very very very well and I love them SO MUCH. I feel like if
they get baptized and involved in the church, I could go home from my
mission right after and be happy. Of course, thats not going to happen,
but I LOVE THEM. We have been teaching them for about a month now (I
havent said much because seriously, I dont want to jinx it) but they
have come to church 2 weeks in a row now (minus the father, hes a little
rought, but I told him I am going to be persistant with him) and
loveeeeee it. Juany (the mom), Jonathan (18), and Geronimo (13). I have
already said too much. But what is so wonderful is that, despite all my
faults, they love me too.
Ummm my companion
had some health problems this week that put her in the hospital and then
us in the house so that was fun. But on the bright side, I was super
annoying in the hospital (not really) and was asking people how to say
medical things in spanish. They were pretty entertained too haha. Lets
say one thing though... I reallyyyyyyyyy hope I never have to go to the
hospital here. Seriously, I am so afraid of having to being medically
treated here.
Um what else... it rained. and got cold. and then it got slightly hot again. Who knows.
I
am learning a lot about patience and charity and yeah, any advice on
that would be great? Missionary work is so very simple and yet
soooooooooooooooo very complicated.... why didnt any warn me this would
be so taxing?? hahahaha.... no.... but really. Why didnt anyone tell
me.....
LOVE YOU ALL,
Hermana Roberts
