Manantiales Cambio Numero Dos

Welp I am staying here in Manantiales with Hermana Tah!! Which is great because I want to keep working with her. Weve really been building up a friendship and it will be nice to have more time together. 

Right now I am pretttttty sad/stressed about Maria de Jesus and Edwin. They didnt go to church again this week because they have been working on a family project in one of their daughters` house. But the thing is is that we dont know if its for circumstance that they arent going or because they are going cold... unfortunately we think they are going cold. Its super stressful because its getting to the point where we should probably drop them, but they have progressed so much and felt the Spirit and its heartbreaking. Maybe this is just a necessary experience for us, to understand what it feels like to have someone you love and have put so much effort into not take hold of the truth, but I dont know. Its hard. Pray for a miracle. But we are also just looking for direction on what the Lord would have us do.

On the other hand, Hermana Yuriana (Hernandez family) is progressing SO SO WELL!! Her husand is still working out of town and didnt come home this weekend. We dont know how he is doing with the Word of Wisdom or anything and have no contact with him. But Yuriana is such a strong soul. I am so impressed by her. I havent told yall much about her, but they really are poor. They have SO VERY LITTLE. She is raising her 4 kids basically alone and have almost no money. But she keeps on keeping on with a positive attitude. They go to church every week and she looks forward to our visits and interacting with anything with the church. 

This week a miracle happened with her. She first told us that they were out of money and went for a walk to distract the kids (they were hungry) and we close to the supermarket. A member found her and after finding out they didnt have anything to eat, invited them over. She told us very casually and we were grateful for the member. But later we went to visit the member and she told us what a miracle it really was. She had just been praying to our Father in Heaven thanking Him for all that they have. They arent rich, but they have for their needs and she was giving a prayer of thanks, asking for a way to be able to show her gratitude. She left to go to the grocery store and found Yuriana. There she discovered her needs and immediately invited her over. They shared a good afternoon together and are now forming a very much needed friendship. 

We were able to share with her a little more of the family´s circumstances and is taking Yuriana under her wing. Its exactly what we have been looking for.. a friend more than anything for Yuriana and its is having wonderful effects. I am VERY  grateful. Yuriana is thristy for the gospel and we have been visitng her even more often to teach her about deeper gospel questions she has. She is so beautiful.

Well, thats the update!! Its started to get hotter and we are plugging along. 
Love you all so much!! I am so grateful for this wonderful Gospel and for my missions.

HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY!! (in Mexico.. clearly) Well what a week... it unfortunately was not very successful... haha but because I took a suprise trip to Saltillo in the middle of the week.... ALONE!!! We were studying one morning and I was getting all pumped to get out and start working and I was feeling good and we had great plans for the day when all of a sudden the mission office calls and told me I had to take care of stuff for my Visa and come to Saltillo.. in like 2 hours. So yeah, and they sent me alone. So this week I conquered the fear of traveling through Mexico as an American muchacha who is still learning spanish... alone. But hey, I did it, and nothing bad happened. And I even got to Saltillo and got a taxi and traveled through the city and made phone calls (in spanish thank you) and got things taken care of. BAM! Clearly they trust me or something because apparently that never happens (sending a sister without her companion... none the less a American ne...

Travelling Sister

I dont really know how to start my letters anymore cause I always say the same thing haha... entonces... Hola Family!! Mmm not too much to report. Just working and trying to stay awake in the lessons in this heat. Haha mostly exaggerating but after lunch in this heat... listening to someone tell you a really long story... it gets hard, ya know? I only work about half the time in my own area now. We go on splits twice a week and the are each for about a day and a half so it gets kind of crazy sometimes. I have been leaving to work in the other sister´s area every time because I still dont know our own area well enough to direct it with someone how does know it at all, so I have basically been a traveling missionary. I love working with Hna. Walsh and we are a good team, just sad we are only together like half the time haha. But its been a good experience to get to know other sisters and try to help them improve and find what is keeping them from having more success.  A...

Rosi & Fransisco

Hello hello!! This week we saw our new investigators, Rosi and Fransisco  on Monday  night and challenged them to be baptized with a specific date. They.... turned it down... hahaha but only because its for like a week from now. They have to have 5 weeks in church before they can be baptized, but they already had a few in the states, so we went ahead and challenged them. They said they want to be baptized, but they want to learn more first and everything and 2 weeks didnt seem sufficient haha. I couldnt blame them. We didnt get to seem them again during the week (they are VERY busy for an elderly couple) and unfortunately they didnt make it to church  on Sunday  which was basically devestating, right? But we passed by in the evening to see why they didnt go, and they werent home. Their adult son greeted us and let us know that they suddenly had to take a trip to Monterrey and he was their caring for their house. So we´ll see whats up. But they are super cute....
