Baptism date set

Short again this week.. sorry!! And my keyboard is being dumb. Gah, cant wait to one day use functional computers again. Man I took the BYU library forgranted.

Well my hija and I are still here in Sabinas working every day. Nothing too special happened this week, but my wonderful Medrano family is progressing very nicely. Jorge went to church again this past Sunday and I think he is planning on making a habit of it ;). We watched the Restoration video with them this week and talked a little more about the Book of Mormon to solidfy their understanding. They all pretty bore testimony after that they know it is true...!! Whoo!! Very comforting to hear as a missionary haha. Geronmio and Juany will be getting baptized on the 13th, due to a prior obligation on their original baptismal date (the 6th). Jorge will hopefully be getting baptized in the weeks thereafter, although we do not have a date for him. We did have an awesome lesson with him this past week though about the Sabbath Day. He works on Sundays and that was part of the struggle to get him to go to church in the first place and so I was a little nervous to teach it, but his faith really growing and he is seeing the blessings in his families and he accepted to stop working on Sundays so that he can keep it holy. Blessings!

Pedro isnt keeping his committments to come to church, so we had a "drop" lesson this past week. We gave him kind of an ultimatum and he still didnt come on Sunday, so as of now, we will not be teaching him anymore.

Mere wasnt baptized this past week due to other legal things with the divorce, but her  new date is the 13th as well. Ohhhhhhh legalities. And money.

Cultural fact: We eat at 2pm every day (sooooo late) and we eat a lot. and then only a little at "dinner" which is at 9:30 when we get home. But what I wanted to point out was that sometimes we dont use forks... your utensils are tortillas. This week I ate a whole big steak with my bare hands and tortillas. Welcome to Mexico.

Well family, I miss you dearly. Thats not anything new, but just so you know. Prayers for the gift of tongues would still be nice. Love you alll!!!!!! Thanks for writing. Sorry I cant write more.

Con MUCHO amor,
Hermana Roberts
