Ceci baptism

Image
This week Ceci was baptized!! I am going try to get pictures sent, but the computer is being wierd. It was really beautiful and she is a sweetheart! She was SO excited for her baptism, and then at the last minute she started to freak out about the font haha but all was well.  She was confirmed  on Sunday  and she is already doing great in the ward. She already has friends and is recieving support from the ward. I am realllllyyyyyy content right now because her inactive family is showing signs of becoming active again. Her mom went to her baptism and I saw her cry a little bit, but the next day she had to work and couldnt go to the confirmation. When we visited that evening she was really sad she couldnt go. She talked about how she needs to get active because its not right her 2 daughters are active and going and keeping their convenants, and their parents arent. She wants her family to be unified in the gospel and is finally making the decision herself to change... ...

Quick note

No time... heheh sorry. Hermana Valerio is great! Shes from Orem, Utah and a good worker! Shes got great ideas and we work well together. She really tiny and wears glasses. What a cutie. She has 7 months in the mission and does alright with spanish, buttttttt people dont really understand her and look at me to translate. Thats kind of a confidence booster but I know how it feels to people not understand you. I am hoping to help her a lot though!! We should be having a baptism this weekend!! A 9 year old named Ceci. Pictures and updates next week.  Love you all!!! Someone please buy me a bocho. Hermana Roberts

CAMBIO TRES EN MANANTIALES

News came in this morning and I am staying in Manantiales!! It will likely only be for one transfer more, but whoooo!! Hermana Tah will be leaving and going to Zaragoza, which is an area in Saltillo, so not too far away, but she wont be in my zone so who knows when I will see her. :(  My new companion is Hermana Valerio!! I met her a time or two and she seems really chill so I am excited to work from her. Dont be fooled, she does have a spanish name... but shes American!! She has about 8 months in the mission I think.  Well I have to run, but I wanted to comment on something I told Danielle the other day. She asked me about some of my favorite foods and I forgot to mention that I had thus far avoided menudo for my whole mission... and then yesterday we were served menudo. For those of you who dont know what it is.... its cow intestines. Mmmmmmmmm. Lets say thats not my favorite.............. But look up Pozole though... I LOVE IT! You should make it. LOVE YOU L...

Rosi & Fransisco

Image
Hello hello!! This week we saw our new investigators, Rosi and Fransisco  on Monday  night and challenged them to be baptized with a specific date. They.... turned it down... hahaha but only because its for like a week from now. They have to have 5 weeks in church before they can be baptized, but they already had a few in the states, so we went ahead and challenged them. They said they want to be baptized, but they want to learn more first and everything and 2 weeks didnt seem sufficient haha. I couldnt blame them. We didnt get to seem them again during the week (they are VERY busy for an elderly couple) and unfortunately they didnt make it to church  on Sunday  which was basically devestating, right? But we passed by in the evening to see why they didnt go, and they werent home. Their adult son greeted us and let us know that they suddenly had to take a trip to Monterrey and he was their caring for their house. So we´ll see whats up. But they are super cute....
