More from Manantiales

Happy Birthday Daddy!! There really isnt too much to report this week, it was fairly uneventful. None of our investigators went to church this week, which is a totalllll bummer, but it is what it is. We are working hard and have good numbers and stuff, we just arent getting the conversion in there right now.. but I am sure we will find those are chosen soon! In fact, we met someone that I am feeling reallyyyy good about, named Christina. Shes married and has two little girls and they are adorable. They make me think of Lily and Cali (but Lily and Cali are cuter of course). Anyways, we have our second lesson with her tonight and so pray for her!! I am always afraid of the jinxing thing haha but I feel good about her. Surely there are some really prepared people here.. I am hoping she is one of them! Last week we went on splits with the sister training leaders which was fun. I went to the other area, called Zarco, which is in the center of Saltillo pretty much. Its not too far aw...

Gratitude

Familia, HEY LOOK! I ATTACHED TWO PICTURES!! Dont get too excited, its not cause I fixed my memory card or anything, its cause the person who works in the ciber cafe finally knew how to work the scanner and I had him scan two pictures from the last transfer that were already printed haha. But hey, you are all welcome. The one with the niña is Maria de Jesus` daughter who we have stopped teaching, but everytime we pass their house she yells "HERMANAS!!" and runs to hug us and tells us she loves and miss us. Shes a cutie. We were matching so we took the picture.  The other is my companion Hermana Tah when we were on a bus. Cool stuff. In the way of this week... I basically was just overwhelmed with gratitude for my upbringing. My country, my house, my parents, my siblings, my ward, my stake, my schools, etc. This week I just noticed even more how poorly some of these people live and I am just SO BLESSED. One day I will be able to share with you all more specific...

Week after Conference

Family, This week we unfortunately dropped Maria and Edwin. It was something that I was pouring my heart over in prayer for and we decided to talk to her about just how she was feeling what her progress means. She doesnt have the support of her husband, nor her family, and so her progress haulted. She was making a lot of excuses, and even if they were good, when someone truly wants the gospel, they make it possible. They make the changes. She said she likes the church and feels good and everything, but right now she just cant commit to anything. We told her we would keep visiting every once and while to help her get to baptism still, but sadly..... she has pretty much given us the cold shoulder. She doesnt answer our phone calls and when we pass by her house, she doesnt answer the door or shuts the door when she sees us coming. Its pretty heartbreaking. But we have to move on, right? With the Family Hernandez. Luis was home this weekend and we went to visit. When we got there h...
