Manantiales Cambio Numero Dos

Family, Welp I am staying here in Manantiales with Hermana Tah!! Which is great because I want to keep working with her. Weve really been building up a friendship and it will be nice to have more time together.  Right now I am pretttttty sad/stressed about Maria de Jesus and Edwin. They didnt go to church again this week because they have been working on a family project in one of their daughters` house. But the thing is is that we dont know if its for circumstance that they arent going or because they are going cold... unfortunately we think they are going cold. Its super stressful because its getting to the point where we should probably drop them, but they have progressed so much and felt the Spirit and its heartbreaking. Maybe this is just a necessary experience for us, to understand what it feels like to have someone you love and have put so much effort into not take hold of the truth, but I dont know. Its hard. Pray for a miracle. But we are also just looking for dire...

Last week in the transfer

Wow, its gone by fast, right? Things went well this week!! Hermana Tah and I were TOTALLY bummed on Sunday because Maria and her son couldnt go to church.. they had some family obligations. I was kind of feeling deflated, but we visited them in the evening and they are still doing well with the gospel and everything. Maybe there is a hidden reason or blessing for their absence. Maria still doesnt have a date for her baptism, but we are trying to cool it as not to pressure her too much. She is learning and reading. I just want her to have a testimony NOW.. haha its defintley a patience thing. I just have to remember sometimes that I have been working on my own testimony and conversion for years... where as these people are only beginning to discover the full truth.  Something I have been thinking about A LOT lately, especially with my study of the Book of Mormon, is that I am working with the descendents of the lamanties....... !!! When I read the Book of Mormon and then leave ...

Splits & Rain

Hello from Ramos!! Hows it going fam? This week it rained a lot. One day we were literally walking through rivers in the street. I really like rain... but as a walking missionary... not so much.  A few exciting things happened this week, I guess you could say. We went on splits with the Sister Training Leaders and that went really really well!! They were really pleased with what we are doing and how things are going and they didnt have anything bad to say. One of them is Hermana Walsh, who is basically like my best friend here in the mission, so that was fun too. I didnt go on splits with her, but none the less, its a lot less stressful when you are doing it with your friends. I learned a lot from the other Hermana too, Hermana Morales.  On Thursday we had interviews with President Rodriguez which was GREAT!! I just really like him. My interview was really good and we were able to have a really good conversation about my progress and my concerns. He told me h...

Maria & Hernandez family

Hello fam, This week was good!! Wasnt quite as successful as last week, but I am content because one of investigators, Maria, is progressing really really well! She went to church with us yesterday and LOVED it. She told us she believes it is true and has accepted to be baptized, so we should be setting a date this week. Her husband still doesnt really want much, but her son Edwin also accepted to be baptized and has one time in church. She is a SWEET HEART and I already love her. She loves learning and is eating it up. Please pray for her that she will progress and gain a testimony!! And accept a baptismal date on Wednesday!! The Hernandez family will also be baptized soon, the family that already had all the lessons and everything when we got here, but they are just waiting on some documents so they can get married and baptized. 2 of their kids were already baptized. Right now the dad is working away from home and is only there, and only sometimes, on the weekends. Its really...

17 Investigators

Hola familia!! Well this week we kept on working and found 17 new investigators!! We also invited 17 people to be baptized (I am working on being more bold with that and it seemed to work out haha) and a good handful accepted. If I remember right, only one declined..  They arent all necessarily progressing, but you have to start somewhere right?  There really isnt too much to say and I am already out of time, but we hope to have success this week and I ask for continual prayers, but I already know you are all already doing that, so thank you. I have an infinite love for my family.  Congratulations to the new little boy who has joined the family!! He is one blest kid to be born into this family.  I LOVE YOU SO MUCH!! Learning lots. It will be fun to bring you all back here one day. Ive been trying to notice the things that will be fun for yall cause I am so used the culture and stuff now that its doesnt seem so interesting, but it will be fun to co...
